Each month we release a list of the latest products that are relative to the lowrider game, and this time around we’ve got some definite must-haves. From Holley’s new remote oil filter mounts to Hyrdoshox’s new hydraulic system, we’ll be showcasing three new products that will definitely be a handy addition to your show ride, or current build. In addition, Miller Electric Manufacturing Company has introduced three new models of welding units that were built to last.

Model: Billet Remote Oil Filter Mounts
Overview: Need to relocate your oil filter? Don’t want it to look cheesy? If so, Holley Performance Products is pleased to announce all-new Billet Remote Oil Filter Mounts from Earl’s. These remote mounts make it a snap to relocate your oil filter to any easy-to-reach location under the hood. Constructed of billet 6061-T6 aluminum and anodized black, they feature dual -10 AN O-ring port inlet and outlets-two on each side-for endless routing options. One of the extra ports can be used to attach a mechanical oil temperature gauge using Earl’s adapter PN 981470ERL.
They’re compatible with Fram’s popular PH8A and HP1 oil filters and come complete with a 1/8-inch NPT plug, two -10 AN O-ring port plugs, and an oil filter stud. Earl’s recommends installation of this component using grade 8 fasteners (not included).

Overview: Developed in conjunction with MRC Fabrication, Hydroshox was crafted for a smooth ride and supreme driveability. In fact, the system was created to replace bulky, rough-riding airbag setups and it’s all done by way of a compact hydraulic system.
The CNC-machined bodies of the units are nickel plated to resist corrosion and feature a 2-7/8-inch-diameter upper tube. The system is available with 4 or 5 inches of hydraulic travel, as well as 3 inches of shock travel. As for the spring rates of the coils, they’re available from 350- to 2,000-pound rates.
Each system comes complete with four coil springs, 12V hydraulic pump, remote fluid reservoir, billet hydraulic manifold with follow controls and solenoids, braided stainless steel hydraulic lines, a laser engraved switch panel, 5 quarts of hydraulic oil, and premade wire with all necessary fittings and instructions.

Model: Welding units
Overview: The next best thing to cracking a cold one is having a welder that can live up to the task. Aside from working on your car, welding machines are handy when it comes to home improvement and let’s face it, they not only look damn cool in your garage, but can come in handy when you least expect it.
In short, Miller welders have long set the benchmark when it comes to high-quality welding units and these three models are no different.
MAXSTAR 161 S: This is a stick-only welding power source designed for use in maintenance repair, shipboard installation and repair, farm and ranch, and hobbyist applications. This model offers DC output stick welding with an amperage range of 20 to 90 amps on 120V primary power and a range of 20 to 160 amps on 240V primary power.
MAXSTAR 161 STL: This unit offers Lift-Arc TIG and stick welding processes for light industrial applications and a variety of industries, including process pipe, dairy, food and beverage, restaurant and kitchen repair, and maintenance repair. This model offers DC TIG up to 130 amps and DC stick up to 90 amps on 120V input power, and DC TIG and DC stick up to 160 amps at 240V input power.
MAXSTAR 161 STH: This power source offers TIG, pulsed TIG, and stick welding for light industrial applications, providing DC TIG up to 130 amps and DC stick up to 90 amps at 120V input power and DC TIG and DC stick up to 160 amps on 240V input power. The pulsed TIG process on this model offers a range of 0 to 150 Hz, for improved arc stability and heat control that help increase travel speeds and reduce distortion.
All three models also feature Auto-Line technology for both 120- and 240V input power, a power management technology that frees operators from primary power limitations and allows uninterrupted production, eliminating concerns about dirty power.
