We spotted this clean Cutlass with its simple setup on the show floor at our Miami Tour kickoff event earlier this year. Sometimes, keeping it simple makes it harder to accomplish what you’re trying to do. This Cutlass, owned by Atef of 25th Street Riders (as the entry form read), features a very respectable trunk setup that caught our attention.

The CCE setup was hard-lined in stainless steel tubing. The entire trunk was painted Pagan Green to match the exterior of the car. The owner wanted the best of both worlds while cruising and added a sound system that includes a set of 12-inch JL Audio W3 speakers that were boxed in a custom enclosure trimmed with matching paint. The six batteries are covered with tan panels which serve to keep the trunk looking sleek.

This setup is very simple and to the point. Atef made sure to cover all of his points for the show circuit. Congratulations on your custom trunk and hopefully we might feature your complete ride soon.

Our San Bernardino Tour stop proved that Californians can put up with Midwest weather as it was raining throughout the day. While taking refuge in one of the halls, we spotted this ’87 Monte Carlo belonging to Jose Garcia. The coexisting audio and hydraulic setup showed us that you can have the best of both worlds.

The G-body has a sound system that was will impress even the pickiest audio critic. The Rockford Fosgate setup features two 10-inch competition woofers with one in the trunk and a second inside on a custom center console. The console also features a pair of 6x9s for mid-bass fill. A Rockford Fosgate four-channel amp powers the complete system. The hydraulic setup consists of a whammy pump that was installed and hard-lined by Jesse of Custom Lows in Riverside, California. The setup and sound system are complemented by a trunk kit that was done by Henry’s Customs of Monrovia, California.

Jose’s setup showed us that you can have the best of both worlds-a simple hydro setup and a straightforward sound system that complement each other well and add up to one bad-ass trunk compartment.
