The “think tank” over at American Products Company (APC) in Temecula, California, is always abuzz with activity, especially after company Marketing Director Larry Ashley and Marketing Assistant Brent Hattan decided that the Acura RSX would be the next hottest import car to hit the market in a long time.
So the next step was to purchase an RSX, but not just a regular RSX, a Type-S. “To make sure that we maintain the standard of crazy quality show cars that APC is known for, we strayed from the norm, and went with a ‘shooting star’ concept, further detailed by heavy metal flake,” explains Brent. “Which was kind of a pain to put on the car especially since this was something new to the APC crew.
This Acura is for promotional and advertising use and so, of course, we took full advantage of it to display our product and our style.” Showcased on the vehicle is APC’s brand-new Diablo six-piece (ABS plastic side skirts, urethane front and rears) body kit, and Street Metal “Super Down Force” aluminum spoiler. Also showcased is their happening Euro Tec taillights, a completely new concept introduced by the leaders in style and innovation at APC. This car is definitely a unique display of APC’s extensive product line, and cutting edge in aftermarket style, which continues to set the standard for modern day show cars.
