Also on the scene was the entire crew from West Coast Customs, who brought out their semi and cars.

Best of Show winners included “V. Max’s” ’63 Chevy Impala from Ultimate Riders and Memo Rivera’s ’48 Chevy truck from City Cruisers, with Art Garcia from Thee Artistics winning Best Bike. Live performances from The Mad Latins Band, Wicked Minds, Mr. 1 and Dolly Girl among others kept the groove going throughout the afternoon.

Plans are already being made for the Eighth Annual show to be held sometime this summer, so be on the lookout for details. President “Turtle” and the rest of the Coachella Valley chapter of Royal Fantasies thank everyone who participated in the 2006 event and look forward to seeing you again this summer.

Drastic ActionNew York lowriders turn up the heat at Drastic Auto Club’s Sixth Annual BBQ.With a combination of great lowriders, weather and food, Drastic Auto Club’s Sixth Annual BBQ held this past August at Valleystream State Park in New York was another great success, pulling in many of the Northeast’s best lowriders. With this show, Drastic had organized a canned food drive intended for the homeless of New York.

From noon until dusk on the day of the show, lowriders showed in force, with big anticipation for the “King of New York” hop contest. What started as a small lowrider gathering just six years ago has grown to be the event to be at in the Northeast. For info on this year’s Seventh Annual BBQ check out
