Anyone known as “Big Daddy” had better have a ride worthy of that monicker. What would be the appropriate vehicle for an individual with such a name? A Hummer? Hmm! Maybe a monster-size pickup or SUV? Well, this Big Daddy is a lowrider with Legends C.C. out of Moreno Valley, California. Given that information, there could only be one ride for Big Daddy… a Cadillac. Perfect!
Big Daddy’s “Dadillac” is an Ice Blue ‘90 Cadillac Brougham D’Elegance that was completely reworked from top to bottom, front to back. The price tag for the luxury lowrider? Well, that’s not so easy to figure. “I’d been looking for a Cadillac, but had not found the right one,” Big Daddy explains. “My wife had a Ford Explorer and on Father’s Day, she traded it for this Caddy. So I got the Caddy for Father’s Day, but the surprise was that I had to buy my wife a new car!”
Construction time is also a bit of a mystery. You see, Big Daddy’s built up the Cadillac twice. He estimates that the car was rebuilt twice in about three years. Many top shops and individuals worked on the project at one time or another, and Big Daddy thanks everyone involved, as well as God, his fellow Legends C.C. members, and especially his wife for showing such patience and giving him the Cadillac in the first place.
Does Big Daddy have any future plans for Dadillac? “Wait and see,” he says. “There’s a surprise coming!” Whoa, Big Daddy, take it easy. You’ve gotta leave a little something for the competition.

Engine/Drivetrain: The big new engine for ’90 Cadillac models was the 5.7-liter V-8 and it’s no surprise that that’s what Big Daddy’s running. Riverside Hot-Rods in Riverside, California, added some shine to the muscle with a serpentine belt system and aluminum pulleys. The stock 350 transmission was also rebuilt and fitted with a new shifter kit.
Body/Paint: The PPG Ice Blue finish was sprayed by “J&J” at Corona Body Customs in Corona, California, with pinstriping provided by Shot Callers in Riverside. Mobile muralist Alex, based in Hemet, California, brought Big Daddy’s visions of beautiful women to life on the hood, trunk and lower body panels. All chrome plating was done by Jose at J&M Chrome in Riverside.
Interior: Miguel at Arlington Customs in Riverside reworked the Cadillac’s plush interior with some embroidery, tweed and a new headliner.
Sound System: Big Daddy digs those phat beats, so he had Shawn at Hemet Customs do up Dadillac with an Alpine head unit, a pair of Audiobahn amplifiers, Clarion tweeters, Pioneer midrange speakers and JL Audio subwoofers. Four monitors mounted in the sunvisors and headrests let Big Daddy entertain his lucky passengers in style.
Setup: The most recent hydraulic setup was installed at Bristol Hydros in Santa Ana, California, and features four More Bounce pumps, “monster” and Delta dumps, aluminum blocks, 8-inch (front) and telescopic (rear) cylinders, 4-ton springs, 16 Trojan batteries and 10 switches. The marbleized frame was reinforced and boxed in, and the suspension was modified with laser-cut A-arms.
