Lowrider bikes have been around for ages. So how long is that? Well the first documented example that I can find is Eddie Munster. His lowrider bike can be seen in different episodes of ‘The Munsters’. So I guess we can’t deny the proof.
Now and again this type of bike is always coming up for sale. Lowrider bicycles will remain popular. So to, will the buying and selling of them and their merchandize. Then there is the fun of searching out a bargain.
Lowrider bikes will undoubtedly be for sale at any and every lowrider bike show. The internet and bike shops will also cater but it is the show that will carry the day. Why is that? Because you were there in the sunshine with other enthusiasts talking about lowrider bikes. That’s why.
On show day don’t be in to much of a hurry to get out the plastic; or your check book. Talk to the seller. Haggle a bit. Most businesses give a discount for paying cash. Try asking for a lowrider bike show special. You never know they might say yes.
If you don’t ask, you probably won’t get it. Suppose you spot a dent in the fender. Or see some rust showing through the chrome. Scratches on the paint work. All good reasons to narrow the price down on your soon to be lowrider bicycle.
To purchase your lowrider bike at a bargain means you have to get out there and haggle. When buyer and seller agree on a price; only then, does money change hands.
So how do we get our lowrider home? You did come prepared, didn’t you? Of course, that’s why you borrowed the pickup. Make sure it’s secured properly. We don’t want it flying off onto the freeway. We all want to get home in one piece.
Suppose you brought this lowrider bike on the spur of the moment. Some sellers might deliver. This may or may not be included in the purchase price. Could even be cheaper to go hire a trailer from a garage or hire center.
