Lowrider Truck
A lowrider truck has a modified suspension. What this does is create a better operated vehicle with more control. Like the cars they have swanky interiors. The outsides have all that glossy paint. But unlike the cars these lowrider trucks do not have the hydraulic systems.
When beginning to create your custom lowrider truck, like the cars there is much to consider. The body work on a car comes the way it’s going to be so there is only the paintwork to change. On a truck it’s very different.
Here we can alter the lights. The grille comes in for a make over as well. Most often than not, the original bench like seats put in at the factory get taken out. One popular replacement is bucket seats that are a welcome addition to any lowrider truck.
Of course this then gives the perfect excuse to change all the colors in the cab. The imagination of a fully fledged custom lowrider begins to work overtime.
In the process a whole new color scheme is coordinated with matching and contrasting extras. This includes the upholstery, dashboard, doors and in some cases the roof. The interior of our custom lowrider is now complete.
Back on the outside we look at the bodywork. Depending on the make and model replacement parts are quite easily made by hand. After all that was how they were made in the first place. Custom lowrider enthusiasts know this.
If you can get access to a panel shop folders and rollers come in very handy. Most tradesmen will give advice and tips if you ask them nicely. They may even be lowrider truck buffs themselves.
It is expensive to rebuild the bodywork. Looking for ways to save money and cut some corners is always a good option but don’t allow it to dominate. Custom lowriders do have some pride.
To showcase your work in public and have your peers crawling all over your lowrider truck it needs to be the best. Then there are those glossy photographs than adorn magazines across the nation. Custom lowriders create a lot of attention so let’s give them something worthy of it.
