Chevy Lowrider

The Chevy Lowrider was one of the earlier lowrider vehicles, and this brand is still one of the most popular in the industry. Lowrider cars in general are often associated with the classic hardtop and convertible Lowrider Impala. It’s one of the models often seen in television shows and other media images. The Chevy Lowrider may also been seen and admired at lowrider car shows around the world.

Although Chevy is a common make of car builders chose when designing a lowrider vehicle, each finished lowrider car is an original artistic creation. The car exteriors are decorated with multi-layer bright colored paint jobs, and they are sometimes covered with intricate airbrushed murals featuring vivid designs including religious figures and other symbolic images.

The car’s interiors are commonly reupholstered with fabrics including plush velvet and leather. Owners with larger budgets may opt to turn the interior into an entertainment center. Televisions and even working video game systems are featured now in some of these vehicles. Advanced powerful sound systems that emphasize bass sounds are also a common modification.

The installation of lowrider hydraulics allows the Chevy Lowrider to be driven at a level lower to the ground than ever before. Even if the builder decides to customize the car with extra large size wheels and chrome or gold lowrider rims, this technology can make it possible for these cars to perform record-breaking stunts including hopping, tilting and dancing.

The drivers able to execute these skills best often enter their lowriders in competitions for awards at a lowrider car show. Whether in a small festival setting or large stadium arena, these shows attract enthusiasts who come to watch the exciting competitions as well as admire the cars as works of art. The shows are also a place where shoppers may find Chevy lowrider cars for sale

The Chevy Lowriders seen decades ago cruising the urban streets of Los Angeles, California, driven by the Chicanos and Mexican-Americans who customized them with pride, are still prevalent today and continue to attract the attention of new lowrider enthusiasts.
