Custom Lowriders
Custom lowriders are vehicles that have been made to the customers design. Put quite simply it is built to how you want it. This way your lowrider car is your very own.
Once you have this vehicle completed the next thing is to show it off. Where do we go to do that, I hear you ask? A lowrider car show is the best place to go. All the other lowrider car owners are there. And they all want a look at your new car.
This environment also makes for a good place to do some networking. That is meeting new friends and sharing information. It is all about making contacts that focus on lowrider cars.
An important feature of the lowrider car is the hydraulic system. This is what gives the vehicle its ability to lift up and down. Often to be seen at shows it creates an impression very much like a bucking bronco.
There is many such lowrider car systems around that can create this effect. Their prices are like a lot of other things. They range from dirt cheap to very expensive.
Now it is the pumps that do all the work. These are powered by batteries that are stored in the trunk. The voltage level in these will determine the speed at which the custom lowrider lifts drops or tilts.
One of the most popular types of car is the lowrider Impala. Whether it is a hardtop or convertible they are wanted by enthusiasts all over. The 1961-64 are the most looked out for.
A whole new generation of lowriders is rising up. This is what they are doing. Instead of riding around in an old boneshaker they are taking a later model and giving it the treatment. This group of modern thinking people likes their power windows and air conditioning. Their favorite make at present is the Cadillac.
Then there are the rims. To dress our lowrider up it has got to have good looking feet. Lowrider rims are the only way to go. The problem we have now is what sort. Do we go gold or silver? Is it to be alloy? Are we going to have spokes, then how many? Are the spokes wire or solid? Now what about the diameter, 20 or 24 inch wheels. To big; let’s try a 17 or 18 inch. One thing is sure; there is never a dull moment with lowrider cars.
