64 Impala coil springs,need help?.

Senteno Respect Level Rank Member 19 posts Please Login or Join to View Mood	Wrote about 1 year ago I just changed my rear coil springs on my 64 impala.Not so bad.But I am having a problem getting the A-arm assembly to lower.My friend is the one doing it. we unhooked everything and expected it to lower so that we could have access to the spring but it seems like there is something locking it on?.A checker guy said that there is a retaining clip at the ball joint holding it on but we could not see one at all.We followed all of the basic instructions on replacing front coil springs but got stuck at the ball joint issue?.

Wendt Respect Level Rank Member 6 posts Please Login or Join to View Mood	Wrote about 1 year ago not to sure how much this will help u sence i can't see whats going on but if u r replaceing the coils with new one u can try cutting the coils in a few places unless your wanting to save them this will help releave the tension on everything it works for me but if u cut them please make sure u run a chain or something though them and hook the chain to something that will stay put so they don't fly uot and smack your ass
