March 5th, 2009... is launch day! We are launching the new site today under http://beta.lowrider.com Please create new accounts and check it out, we know you'll love the new site! 
Note: We will be building a migration tool, to allow you to import your old post count, join date and lowrider.com email address. More on this at a later date.
A few more features are planned before we actually launch this site as www.lowrider.com, we expect to have them completed soon(in about a week). For those wondering about the old site, we will change it to http://legacy.lowrider.com when this site leaves beta. That way you can still check your email and grab photos off the old site.
Some of the many new features that we support are YOUR OWN LOWLOW SITE and videos, uploading multiple photos at once, tags, and tons of Web 2.0 goodness. 
Our new site uses the latest and greatest web technologies and we plan on added plenty of new features in the future. To Read more: check out our About Us Page

The NEW LowLow has officially launched as www.lowrider.com!
The site is still has beta in the address for the transition from the old site to the new, but it will soon say www.lowrider.com

Update: 3/19/2009
It has been two weeks since the Beta was launched and about a week and 1/2 since it went Live! It was in beta for less than a week
LowLow is running very tight!
I'm very impressed with the feedback and positive results! The new site is growing rapidly with new members and loyal members returning. The site also had about a 15% increase in traffic in the first week alone of the new launch.
I have many minor refinements to make to the site... basically make the site even easier to use. My to-do list is a healthy size of enhancements and new features and I'll be tackling one at a time... Look forward to a better LowLow everyday!
Also, I've imported about 1/3 of all the best old pictures from the old site, and it is taking a while since I want to give credit to all the old members... which takes a while since I'm doing it all by hand, since I want only good quality pics.
Anyway, please leave feedback... and go out and tell your peeps about the New LowLow, and add them as your friend Help make the community even stronger!
