Lowrider Pedal Cars – Mini Chariots

Fit for a Young King and Queen

Ruben Perez and Gabriel Cabrera have been friends since they were kids in Zacatecas, Mexico. They remained close friends throughout the years. Once they both started their own family it only seemed fitting for Ruben that Gabriel should baptize his first-born.

While attending a car show, Ruben noticed that his son focused all his attention on a pedal car on display. “He wanted to play with it so I decided to build him one after that.” He found one in Yorba Linda, California, and it only took him four months to build it.

That pedal car gave his compadre Gabriel inspiration to build one for his daughter Samantha. He found it on Craigslist for $60. “It looked like a hot rod, so I took it to work and stripped it before taking it to get powdercoated.” Both pedals were taken to Castaneda’s Engraving in La Puente, California, for the final touch.

They would like to thank their club president Chuy for all his help, their family, and friends.
