This month, we flew out to the city of Louisville, Kentucky, home of the Louisville Slugger and the great KFC. Those in the Lowrider community may know Louisville more for being the home of Cool Cars, a company that began as a wheel and automotive accessories shop, that has since evolved into a lowriding community staple.
Over the last 15 years, Cool Cars has become a major leader in the hydraulic and air suspension industry. After few short years of Cool Cars selling various products and lines that were hard for builders to get, owner Bryan Gillespie took matters into his own hands. Instead of distributing and selling these needs, Bryan wanted to design a hydraulic line that eliminated the problems found in typical marketplace solutions.
This strategy and work force has introduced the world to CCE Hydraulics (Cool Cars Engineering). With their new designs and the use of CNC precision–cut machining, the company’s high quality components quickly raised the bar in the hydraulic suspension industry. CCE Hydraulics did not stop there, they began to work with the pump motor manufacturers to engineer a motor designed specifically for lowrider applications!
To this day, CCE Hydraulics has the highest quality motor on the market, bar none. CCE hydraulics succeeds in part because they recognized that a major component of the hydraulic pump is the pump head, or “gear,” as some call it. CCE Hydraulics was the first and only company that offered Marzocchi pump-heads as standard equipment in all of their hydraulic pumps.
Next time you want or need wheels, a stereo, tint, an alarm, or suspension components, make sure that you stop by, or give ’em a call, and talk to the knowledgeable Cool Cars staff, as they will help point you in the right direction. When you contact them or stop by, let them know that you saw them in the pages of Lowrider magazine!
