Sharing The True Essence Of Street Art With The World

Here at LRA we take pride in what we do. We do our job because it’s what we love to do and not because of the financial gain. I was once told that it does not matter what people think of your work, as long as you are doing a good job and you put your heart and soul into it; the negativity and jealousy should be the last thing on your mind.

In this issue we celebrate a new year as well as a new beginning, personally and in Arte. We also take a glimpse at the artwork from all over the world. First, we get a chance to check out the work of some of the greatest tattoo artist from Mexico in our Flesh Art section as our homeboy Stone captures the best at the Mexico City Tattoo Convention.

We also feature three great artists. Starting with RaskOpticon. Rask has been in the graffiti game for a long time and is one of the best from the West. Rask has overcome many obstacles and has mastered the art of managing many mediums including Graffiti, Airbrush, Computer Graphics and has also released a clothing line. Next we check out the colorfull artwork of Miss Italia Ruotolo from Naples, Italy. Her artistic creativity has taken her all over the world and has achieved worldwide credibility for her amazing work of art. As a female artist, she has broken the barriers that many have not been able to do; she created masterpieces that have been in many galleries and museums. Since we have not forgotten were Arte came from, we get a chance to feature a true artist at heart, Sal Spyder Assid from Anaheim, CA. His work has inspired many people to get back in the game and is been collected by Art Collectors all over the world. Spyder’s work showcases the backbone of Arte. His style of art has been featured for more than 20 years, is well-known and respected. It is also better known as Street Art.

As for 2010, we are thankful for the success of Arte magazine. And for 2011, we are ready for some new changes and new opportunities to guide us in the right direction, and of course we can’t wait to check out the new art from the readers.

In closing, I would like to say thanks to all the hard-core followers of Arte and the artist that have participated in this great publication. Hope the New Year brings you happiness and fortune. And keep sending in your artwork for the entire world to enjoy.

Con Respeto,

Edgar Hoill
