Making its mark on the New Mexico lowriding scene (and now on the cover of our Ford issue) is Tony Hidalgo’s ’79 Lincoln Mark V, “Beauty Mark,” now rolling out of Las Cruces in the “Land of Enchantment,” but originally built in Southern California. This candy violet luxury low-low is guaranteed to turn heads violently wherever it goes and represent Imperials Car Club to the fullest.

“I bought the car in Palm Springs, California, 10 years ago,” Tony tells us, which explains the exclusive presence of the Southern California shops and individuals listed in the Tech Specs. In fact, Tony’s Southern California cruising history goes back to at least the early ’80s when he first joined Imperials C.C. After relocating to New Mexico and dealing with other priorities like his career and family, Tony started “flying the plaque” again when the club asked him to “get back in.”

Tony thanks his fellow Imperials members for their support, as well as Victoria “my girl,” and everyone else who labored on his Lincoln. Although it’s a product of the Southern California scene, Tony’s clean street cruiser is now one of the many cool customs rolling low in New Mexico.
