Mexican Fiesta brings the sound, culture, and taste of Mexico to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is more than just a celebration of Mexican pride, it’s to show that the community is alive with promise and heart. Education is the key to the future, and through scholarship awards the festival has become the gateway for young Hispanics to take their rightful place in society. For the eighth straight year, Mario Reyes and his crew have taken over the south end of the beautiful and spacious Summerfest Grounds right off Lake Michigan.
Over 300 of the finest lowriders from the Midwest completely filled the grounds showing off Mexican pride and culture in each vehicle. Among the clubs in attendance were Rollerz Only, Majestics, USO, Good Times, Solitos, Psycho’s Dreamz, Viejitos, Wicked Impressions, Xplizit, Envious, Blackout CC, Street Legends CC, Cruizin In Style, All State Low Life, Los Impalas, and Street Styles to name a few.
Accompanying Mexican Fiesta International on the road to success have been the many community-based, non-profit agencies that actively participate in the annual festival. It gives emphasis on the Mexican-American way of life, as well as displaying other Hispanic influences in our society. Mexican Fiesta encourages individuals from all ethnic backgrounds to come share in the rich history, art, music, and cuisine of the Mexican/Hispanic community.
