Consider this one a memo to all of you classic truck enthusiasts out there. The Show and Shine needs to be on your annual to-do list. For the fifteenth year in a row, this event has been a premier show for classic trucks and has continued to grow every year. SoCal residents have it even better, the show is widely considered to be the biggest truck show for classic Chevys and GMCs in the world, takes place right in their own backyard. Canyon RV Park in Anaheim, California, played host to this year’s Brothers Truck Show and Shine, and the grounds provided an abundant amount of trees, which made for an endless supply of shade, providing the show with a relaxing atmosphere.

The show kicked off early in the morning and the Brothers crew did an excellent job of moving in the long line of trucks that were anxiously awaiting the move-in. The show is intended for Chevy and GMC trucks from 1947 all the way up to 1987—just like in their catalogs. As always, the show did not disappoint, as the Brothers crew provided live music, raffles, and food trucks.

While this show typically has every type of classic truck that you can think of, our focus was on the ’40s and ’50s Stepsides and Suburbans. We were able to find plenty of trucks outside of our Lowrider shows, and we will be bringing those to you in future issues. For more on this amazing annual event, make sure to check out Brothers for more info and dates on their upcoming shows.
