Originally organized by a Harley-Davidson dealership and a handful of bikers, the Laughlin River Run was first started in the early ’80s. The small town of Laughlin, Nevada, sits at the mouth of the Colorado River and has proven to be the perfect backdrop for a weekend of fun in the sun during the day alongwith gambling and partying all through the night. A brawl between rival motorcycle clubs over a decade ago gave the event an ominous reputation for a few years, but today it has returned to its former glory of good times with good people. Events include various bikini contest, bike shows, concerts and vendors. A walk through the various hotels is an informal bike show in itself, while the girls dancing on stage aren’t a site for sore eyes either. The rumble of the V-twins up and down Casino Drive throughout the weekend is also a constant reminder that the boys are back in town. For more information on the event visit: laughlinriverrun.com.
