El Whyner is a California-born photographer, writer and tattoo artist. Currently he is based in Phoenix, and from time to time Rome, Italy too. Over the past five years he has worked on various projects involving photography along with writing projects. He has been writing and freelancing for Lowrider Magazine since the beginning part of 2013.
His greatest pleasure is in representing the lowrider culture and lifestyle on a local and global scale. His oldest and fondest memory was standing on the corner of Orange and Pine St in Santa Ana, where he got his first glimpse of a laid out ’48 Chevy Fleetline leaving Santa Ana High School. That moment gave birth to a passion and desire that thrives on not just photographing and writing about cars, but also building his own with his friends. Currently he is working on a 1950 Fleetline fastback as well as a 1968 Chevy Impala Convertible that will be hitting the local and out of state car show scene.
In addition, El Whyner travels around the world tattooing, specializing in fine line black and gray.
